FUNCTIONAL AREAS

Gastro & Hospitality 

As a volunteer in the Gastro & Hospitality sector, you ensure that everyone feels comfortable all around. You are an essential part of our team, dedicated to providing delicious catering and warm hospitality. Whether in the dining areas or the VIP section, here your friendliness and anticipation are required.

 

Info Point & Accreditation

You are the point of contact for all questions and concerns and the first point of contact for athletes, journalists and staff. You assist with the accreditation, provide information and ensure that everyone finds their way. Your friendliness and knowledge make everyone's stay more pleasant and extraordinary. If you want to support us in the Info Point & Accreditation sector, you should have a good level of both German and English, as it is an international event. Further language skills are of course an advantage. 

 

Races & Slopes

In the Races & Slopes sector, you are right in the middle of the action. You directly assist in organizing the races, secure the slopes, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Your contribution is crucial to creating breathtaking racing moments on the snow-covered slopes. You must be able to ski well for this sector.

 

Infrastructure, Construction & Technology

If you have craftmanship skills and technical understanding, this is the right place for you. As a volunteer in the Infrastructure, Construction & Technology sector, you contribute to shaping the infrastructure of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 and ensure that everything works flawlessly. Your craftmanship skills and endurance are crucial to the success of the event.

 

Security & Control

The Security & Control sector works in close cooperation with our external security personnel. To ensure that the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 run smoothly and safely, we need your perseverance and consistency when it comes to entry checks and stressful situations.

Hostesses & Guest Relations

Your warmth and charm are your best tools. As a volunteer in the Hostesses & Guest Relations sector, you ensure that guests and VIPs feel completely at ease. You are the perfect host, and your friendly demeanor makes the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 an unforgettable experience for all involved.

 

Marketing, Press Center & Media Relations

Do you want to share the stories of our FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 with the world? As a volunteer in the Marketing, Press Center & Media Relations sector, you play a crucial role in spreading our message. You assist us in the press center, serve as a crucial point of contact for the on-site media, and help present our event in the media. Your creativity and communication skills contribute to making our FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 a global event.

 

Organization

As a volunteer in the Organization sector, you assist in coordinating processes, schedules, and resources. Your structured approach and organizational talent ensure that everything runs smoothly, making the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 an unforgettable experience.

 

Transport & Drivers

Whether it is shuttles for athletes, guests, or logistics around the slopes - you handle the seamless operation of vehicles and transportation of means, to ensure everything arrives at its goal safely. As a volunteer in the Transport & Drivers sector you require a driver’s license category B and sufficient driving experience on snow.

Requirements 

Enthusiasm, reliability, motivation and time. 

  • Minimum age: 18 years  
  • Availability: Time for a task of at least 7 days  
  • Insurance: Active health insurance  
  • Language skills: German and English

In principle, no previous knowledge is required, but if you have already participated in a volunteer program in the alpine ski area, we would be very happy to hear about your expertise. 

Benefits

You will receive a complete volunteer outfit from us, which you can keep. We will take care of your meals during your volunteering time. You can take part in a cool volunteer party and after the event we will issue you a certificate for your volunteer work. 

You also have the chance to be part of a special and emotional event with unforgettable moments. 

Welcome to #skiverrückt 

You can enter your clothing sizes in your profile after registering. We use international sizes (XS-XXXL). The design of the clothing will be published before the event so you can look forward to it. There will be no different options, you will all get the same clothing. 

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodation will be provided for volunteers who need it. Please note that we only provide shared rooms and cannot make any exceptions. Please let us know if you are interested in accommodation from us.

It helps us with our planning, communication and familiarization if you are available for the entire period. To be a volunteer at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025, you must be available for at least seven days in a row. 

We are happy to support you during problems in the application process. Please contact us at volunteers@saalbach2025.com and attach a screenshot of the problem. 

Volunteer registration is currently still open. After your registration you will receive an email confirming that your registration has worked. From March 2024 you will be informed by e-mail when the interview phase begins. From that point on you will find out whether and in which area you are taking part at the event. 

Deployment

After registering for the event, you should have received a confirmation email. If this is not the case, please check your spam folder and/or make sure you have typed in your email address correctly.  

You will now receive regular updates and news from us. From March 2024, you will be notified by email when the interview phase begins. During the interview, we will determine together in which specialist area and for which task you are best suited. From then on you will find out whether and in which area you are helping. 

Depending on the area of work, we have different periods when you should be available. Of course, you should be available for your shift times. The areas of work are assigned to applicants depending on their availability and flexibility. Please always communicate changes in your schedule as soon as they have an impact on your shifts for the event. We have a minimum requirement of 7 days. 

Depending on your job, you will mainly be outdoors or in the premises of your respective area. The Volunteer Center is always available for breaks. 

Volunteer shifts last between 8 and 10 hours with at least one, but possibly several breaks throughout the day. You will receive a detailed shift schedule before the event. 

Send us an e-mail to volunteers@saalbach2025.com and let us know if you can't be there after all. The sooner we know, the better we can rearrange your shifts and tasks. Please be aware that you are an important part of the event and that, without canceling, we are counting on you to show up.
